Turn supermarket receipts into repeat customers
Your products sell in shops you do not own, to people you never meet. Receipt Scan lets them photograph the receipt, matches what they bought, and gives them a reason to come to you next time.
How it works
They photograph the receipt
One tap on your store. No app, no account first, no forms before they have seen it work.
We read it and match it
Every line is compared against your Shopify catalogue, including the abbreviations tills actually print.
They earn, and come back
Points become a real discount code on your store, applied in one tap rather than copied out of an email.
Try it on a real receipt
This is the actual product, running against a demo brand called Harbour & Co. Photograph any receipt and watch it get read and matched — or generate a sample one if you have not got a Harbour & Co receipt to hand, which you almost certainly have not.

The photo is shrunk in your browser before it is sent, and kept for seven days so we can see what went wrong if something does.

Questions
- Does this work with receipts from any shop?
- Yes. The reading is not tied to a till system, so a supermarket, a pharmacy and an online order confirmation all work the same way.
- What stops somebody uploading the same receipt twice?
- Three checks: the file itself, a fingerprint of the image so a re-photograph is caught, and the combination of shop, date and total. Anything that collides goes to a person rather than being refused outright.
- Where do the vouchers come from?
- They are real Shopify discount codes created on your store, so they behave exactly like any other code and appear in your own reporting.
- Do I have to change my theme?
- The recommended install adds one block. There is an embeddable version for merchants who would rather not touch the theme at all.
